1. What cookies are

A cookie is a small text file a site stores on your device. It lets the site recognise your browser on a later request — which is how you stay signed in as you move between pages. Local storage works similarly but is not sent with every request.

2. What we use

Strictly necessary

These are required for the site to function and cannot be switched off. As shipped, this site sets only the following:

• Session cookies (set by Clerk, our authentication provider) — keep you signed in and protect against cross-site request forgery. They expire when the session ends or shortly after.
• theme (local storage, not a cookie) — remembers whether you chose the light or dark appearance. It is never sent to our servers.

Analytics, preferences, and advertising

This site sets no analytics, preference, or advertising cookies. If you add any, list them here with their provider, purpose, and lifetime — and note that in the UK and EU non-essential cookies generally require consent before they are set, which means adding a consent banner rather than relying on this page.

3. Managing cookies

Every major browser lets you view, block, and delete cookies from its settings. Blocking strictly necessary cookies will sign you out and prevent the protected areas of this site from working.

Browsers also offer a “Do Not Track” signal. There is no consistent industry standard for honouring it, so we do not respond to it; we simply do not run tracking cookies.
